After comfortably beating HEROIC 2-0 (16-7 on önköTrain and 16-9 on Nuke), ENCE have moved on to the grand final of DreamHack Open Winter, where the South Africans in Bravado await them.
ENCE got off to a quick CT start on the first map, Train, as they won the first pistol round without losing a single player and also won the following anti-eco. HEROIC bit back in the first gun round, but couldn't convert it into more as the Finns breezed ahead to a 5-1 lead.
Andreas "MODDII" Fridh's men then found their composure and won the next trio of rounds on the back of multi-kills by Daniel "mertz" Mertz, Asger "AcilioN" Larsen and the Swedish captain himself to bring the deficit to one. HEROIC eventually evened out the score at 5-5 and gained the lead after an intense quad-kill round by Patrick "es3tag" Hansen on the B site.
The 12th round was a nail-biter, which saw Jere "sergej" Salo defuse the bomb after a double Desert Eagle kill moments before the youngster was killed by mertz' AWP from a distance. This further invigorated ENCE, who won the remaining rounds in the half to lead 9-6 before switching to the attacking side.
The Finns would expand on their lead after the half, as they won the second pistol round on the back of a triple-kill by Sami "xseveN" Laasanen with the USP-S. They completely dominated their Danish/Swedish opponents for the rest of the half, only conceding a single round before taking Train 16-7 and the series lead.
Next up was HEROIC's pick, Nuke, where the Danish/Swedish side won the first pistol round on the CT side. ENCE put themselves on the board in the third, but three multi-kill rounds by es3tag put HEROIC ahead 5-1. Aleksi "allu" Jalli's men then rallied back, first winning a trio of rounds before sergej clutched a 1v3 situation to level out the score. The 16-year-old also killed three in the next round to help ENCE take the lead, which they expanded all the way to 10-5 at the switch on the back of several dominant rounds by the young Finn.
Now on the defensive side, ENCE won the second pistol and the follow-up anti-eco to put themselves at eleven rounds and in a comfortable position to win Nuke as well as the series. HEROIC won the next pair and reset the Finns' economy, but Jani "Aerial" Jussila killed three with the P250 to bring ENCE to twelve. allu and this men dominated the opposition for the remainder of the match, as they won four out of the remaining five rounds to win Nuke 16-9 and the series 2-0.
